The Chimay “Première” was the first beer brewed at the Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey by the Trappist fathers in 1862. Taste is silky with a light bitter touch.
Stone Ruination 10.25
So called because of the “ruinous” effect on your palate! This massive hop monster has a wonderfully delicious and intensely bitter flavor on a refreshing malt base.
Stone Brewing Arrogant Bastard 10.00
Nice medium brown amber color. Tastes bitter–chocolate, coffee, caramel, honey, raisins, plums, orange, an aggressive pine and citrus sweet. Arrogant Bastard has very intense flavors and drinks like a stout with an IPA bite and crispness at the end.
Lost Abbey Gift of the Magi 22.95
Starts with a bready nose, fruity esters and a hint of strawberry in the mix. Taste starts with light malt and aforementioned fruit, but is knocked out quickly by bittering hops. The feel is balanced in viscosity with some acidic and harsh alcohol feel that gives the beer a balanced finish.
Allagash Dubbel 16.00
Boasts a deep red color and a complex malty taste. The finish is dry with subtle hints of chocolate and nuts. The yeast asserts itself by lending a classic Belgian fruitiness.
Napa Smith Organic IPA 8.00
Carmel, grapefruit and nutty malts mixed with leafy raw herbal hops, which also provide some earthiness as well. The hop profile on the palate has herbal and grassy notes mixed with nutty biscuit malt.
Black Sheep Monty Python’s Holy Grail 9.75
Dangerously fruity against a biscuity, malty background. We brew Holy Grail with Maris Otter malt, an old and expensive variety that is renowned for the taste and the quality of the beer it produces.
Telegraph Brewing Co. White Ale 10.75
A classic, unfiltered Belgian-style white ale brewed with coriander, orange peel and locally grown chamomile flowers. It is called “white ale” because of the pale, cloudy color.
Celis Grand Cru 5.00
Celis Grand Cru is brewed according to a traditional recipe and uses Pilsen malt, Saaz, Willamette hops, Curaçao orange peel and select spices. The combination produces an ale strong in character with a subtle fruitiness and complex flavors.
Pliny the Elder 6.00
Pliny the Elder is brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ and Simcoe hops. It is well-balanced with malt, hops and alcohol–slightly bitter with a fresh hop aroma of floral, citrus and pine.
